How To Organize Under The Bathroom Sink

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the state of what's under your bathroom sink and feeling lost on how to work around those pipes, here’s a quick 3-step guide with one of our favourite organizing products to help tackle it effectively. This is useful for those bathroom vanities with doors instead of drawers.

STEP 1: Take measurements

Briefly sketch out the inside of the vanity or cabinet and take measurements of the height, width and depth. Also include details of where the pipes are located! This is the most important information to gather because this is what can obstruct organizational products from fitting.

STEP 2: Use stackable and customizable storage

The dimensions of these stackable drawer bins below are:

Depth = 33.4 cm

Width = 21.6 cm

Height = 13.7 cm

It’s important to make sure that these items fit in your space so that you can save time, money, and calculate exactly how many bins you’ll need.

You can stack as many as you can on top of each other which makes it great for customization in your space. Since these are drawers, you don’t have to worry about taking each individual bin out to get what you want because you can easily access its contents by pulling open each drawer.

STEP 3: Get organized

Declutter by getting rid of what’s expired or what you don’t use anymore. Take everything out and categorize the items you are keeping. Then wipe down the surfaces before placing the bins inside. Once you figure out the best configuration of the bins under the sink, start placing your items in each bin based on category and label each one so that your new system will be easily maintained. To give you some ideas, we created the following labels in this situation:

  1. Hair

  2. Face

  3. Body

  4. Aveeno

  5. Cotton swabs/pads

  6. Fem Products (feminine products)

  7. Pads (feminine products)

  8. Dental

We've used a combination of both general and very specific labels because this is what worked best for our client, so do what works best for you!

Once you’re done, hopefully this can bring you more ease and peace into your morning and evening routines!
